I mentioned I’m an oversharer, right?
Where it all began…
Alyx was born and raised on the beautiful Emerald Coast in Pensacola, Florida. At only three years old, she happened upon Annie (yes, the 1982 movie starring Carol Burnett) on TV and the rest is history. Alyx’s love of theatre and passion for the arts is largely due to the wonderful community in Pensacola. Being surrounded by music, dance, community theatre, and brilliant, passionate artists for her upbringing only fueled the fire to make it a lifelong career.
After continuing to cultivate a deep love of all things musical theatre throughout high school, Alyx was accepted into the BFA Musical Theatre program at the University of Central Florida and became a Knight (Charge On!). Her college summers were spent in Bigfork, Montana at her home away from home, the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, where she was a company member for two seasons. After graduating a semester early with her degree, she packed her bags a month later and made the big move to New York City. Not 48 hours after her arrival, Alyx hit the ground running and started auditioning. She booked her first audition and played Sandy Dumbrowski, a dream role, in Grease at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH.
And where life took me…
Alyx’s biggest adventure yet was onboard the Oceania Sirena performing as a production vocalist. Traveling has been a huge passion of Alyx’s and being able to see some of the most beautiful places in the world: Italy, France, Monaco, Spain, Morocco, and Brazil (and SEVENTEEN other countries!) was a dream come true. Alyx thanks the Creative Studios at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. for the opportunity and adventure of a lifetime!
During pandemic times, Alyx moved back home to beautiful Pensacola with her husband Dale and debuted a one-woman musical show titled, “The Songs that Saved Me” - the re-telling of her journey through New York City, falling in love, the pandemic, and beyond. Then, she sailed through Alaska onboard the Norwegian Bliss playing all the female characters in Jersey Boys. She is forever grateful to The Dodgers and the Jersey Boys family for her return to the stage! Alyx most recently remained in her ‘Jersey Boys Era’ and played Frankie Nolan (and others!) onstage at The Fireside Theatre. Alyx now resides in NYC full-time with her husband, Dale. Stay tuned for what’s next!
